Our Mission

Bridging Rural Wellness Gaps in Perry County

Movement Matters is the only local nonprofit dedicated to making active living approachable and social for every neighbor. We focus on inclusive, grassroots health support.

Our Roots

Born in Tell City, Built by Neighbors

Movement Matters began with a simple idea: that everyone, regardless of age or ability, deserves access to health and wellness. Founded in Tell City, our journey started with a small group of volunteers organizing walking clubs in local parks.

From those humble beginnings, we've grown into a network offering accessible physical activity initiatives, community wellness education, and vital health resources. Our focus remains hyper-local, driven by the needs of Southern Indiana families and seniors.

Our programs bring neighbors together for accessible vitality.

Our Belief

Accessible movement is the foundation for long-term independent living.

We champion gentle, social, everyday health. Our initiatives foster confidence, independence, and overall well-being, ensuring Perry County residents can thrive.

From Our Community

Before Movement Matters, I felt isolated. Now, I have friends to walk with and I feel stronger every day. It's made a real difference.
